Yeah, it's nice to hear some of Autechre's older stuff. I do miss this
sort of style. As much as I like their current fractal synthesis,
their older stuff seems a bit 'warmer'.

Yep, I love 'Inhake 2' -- the twiddly-drop melodies remind me of
something from Richard Kirk's 'Virtual State'. My favourite track has
got to be 'Drane' though. Simple percussion, making way for that
lovely looped sample of what sounds like a Mellotron that
disintegrates, shifts and phases all over the place as the track
progresses.

The good thing about Autechre's albums is that each has it owns unique
feel which makes them tough to rank, but if push came to shove I'd
have to say that 'Amber' is still my favourite.
